The benchtop microXRF produces huge amount of images an with high number of pixels. I have moved the processing to MATLAB. For X-ray Absoprtion spectroscopy we need to deal with noisy data from XANES micro-tomography where it is not possible to get better data quality due to the long time needed to collect the more than 100 images needed for each energy data point. I use MATLAB to denoise and do composition analysis. XANES and XES simulations are needed to interpret data. After using FEFF and FDMNES for transition metal centers, and StoBe for sulfur, I am now using ORCA, in order to get all the electronic structure information. I am also working on Machine Learning tools to enhance the analysis capacity of all the work.
